There is much to tell you about. First of all, I met these really cool people who spent their lives as missionaries in Japan. Betty, Faith, and Mel Klaus visited Alabama and shared everything from how to hold chopsticks to snacks sprinkled with seaweed (actually very tasty!). I really enjoy meeting others from different cultures, so it was an awesome experience, and I was able to teach Betty how to high 5 (at first she thought I was trying to hit her), txt (she actually only pushed the 'send' button), and what thumbs up or down meant;) haha.
Then, I met these other cool people from IL: Carlee and Andrew Gerber (and their cute daughter) and Matt and Myca Steffen and Kalla Knobloch and Chelli Stoller. I was especially excited because Carlee's fav color is orange and Kalla brought me some "red sauce" from a Monical's in IL (which is a big deal to an Indiana girl like me) ;) It was a great weekend!
I also put my brand new (free) 2-person tent to the test! Jess, bamber, and me camped out for the night. It was the complete camping experience including: a constantly dying fire, hideous bugs, loud dog barking, scary stories that weren't really scary, a pumpkin that we meant to carve but was inpenetrable so we smashed it with a hammer, burnt pudgy pies, and a random breakfast of Captain Crunch the next morning! Camping is so awesome:)
And last of all, me and Liona went to greet that slightly creepy Chuckie Cheese (slightly creepy because you never really know who is in that costume or what their voice really sounds like). We/Liona did every game at least once, which only gained us barely enough tickets to buy a cheap Toy Story thingy. Typical. It was fun though!
