ahhhhhhhhhhh...my llife

First, hit up the store to do some shoppin':

The horrible dilemma: which color???!?!?!!!
I went with the yellow ones.....which were only 3$!

Then hit up the Edelman's for some very important play time:
And the barbies even have a mansion!!!!!

(can you see Lauren through the window???)

Then, off to pajama day at Preschool: popcorn and cartoons ALL DAY LONG:

And, FINALLY, gettin' into God's word:

The Bible Study is called "BASIC" which stands for "Bonding As Sisters In Christ". It's just me, Sarah, Ros, Anna, Jess, and Amber. Every Saturday, we go over a "basic" concept in the christian's life. It's very much like basic training before war: to prepare yourself to fight for Christ!

Jessica and Amber made this AWESOME GIANT cookie for BASIC this week.
It was SOOOOOOOOOOO TASTY!!!!!!!!

AMEN!

Worthy Posting

FINALLY, I have something to blog about! Yesterday, we had some visitors at the preschool. They weren't the nicest, as evidenced by chasing Mrs Barbara across the parking lot when she was innocently taking out the trash, but we appreciated the excitement nonetheless. Welcome to the South:)

The big one tried to eat me!

Roller coasters

Life is like roller coasters. Our emotions and circumstances take us up and down and up and down.....and sometimes make us sick, but sometimes make us laugh and say: "that was fun". Well, it's been like that in Athens lately.

We had some awesome visitors from LaCrosse IN over the weekend: Mark and Karen Wetstein, along with their kids: Brandon, Mindy, Jackie, and Jayla. It was a blast!

We also played pictionary....and I have never been so beaten in my life. Ever. When Jess and Amber were on  "Finish", me and Bekah were still on "Start".....it was......humbling:)

But, then there was the low stuff: a death. Anna's (on the left) grandpa shot himself. Pray for us.

Still looking UP to the Son!

CRIMSON TIDE! (+ grandma)

My grandma took a trip to Gulf Shores, and Athens is right on the way! She made a special stop just for me. They took me out to Logan's, and I showed them the preschool/church/apartment. They also answered all of my life's questions because they are so experienced and wise. Okay, just kidding:) We did have some good talk/laugh time though.

Then, it was super bowl time!!! Oh wait.....no one in AL cares about NFL football, but EVERYONE is OBSESSED with college ball, and what do you know: Alabama won the national championship! Although I don't really have a passion for football, I rooted for AL since I'm living here:) Did I mention there were wings? That made it all worth it. Heehee.

I was about the only one without a red shirt on (and Mark who is an Auburn fan:)

I made the fruit plate (with Jessica's help:) *sidenote: pineapples are EXTREMELY difficult to cut

Watchin' the game

Oh yes, and there was other very exciting news: Jessica and Bamber learned/tried to play chess. It was quite humorous....and interesting (especially when I put a mento into my coke-try it sometime:)

I got my cake and ate it too

Over Christmas break, I headed back to IN. In two weeks, I made a million plans with a million friends and family. As I was driving back to AL, I realized something: perhaps the closest I'll ever come to understanding God's love comes when I feel love from and toward others. He must have made it that way for a reason: to unite us. As this new chapter begins, may we remember Who we breathe for: CHRIST ALONE. Happy New Year!

Okay, prepare yourself for TONS of pictures because I'm a bum and did absolutely NO blogging while I was in IN, so now I have an overload of pics......kind of like when you put off doing laundry and then you have to do like 20 loads in the same day....or when you put off Christmas shopping and then you have to do it all in one day....or...well, you get the picture (pun intended):
