ARRESTED!?!?

That's right: I was arrested. Handcuffs. Police Car. Jail Cell.

The Crime? Being a good sport:) A person, who will go unnamed (Mrs Barbara), pays 5$ to Relay for Life, and the police will "arrest" one person of her choice. Then, the police come and arrest that person. The only way I could get out of jail was by someone (Sara Edelman) coming and paying a 20$ bond for Relay for Life. Things I learned: putting a seat belt on with handcuffs is very difficult, the back seat of a police car is made out of hard plastic, and jail cells are cold and boring and lonely!

While I was sitting there in jail, I couldn't help but think about Paul and Silas or persecuted Christians. Although it wasn't remotely similar in the suffering aspect (I got a donut), it was good for me to think about.
This is the jailbird, signing off:)

invites ROCK

If you have never heard of an invite, it basically consists of us inviting a bunch of other young people from somewhere to come to where we are. We do things like work projects, singing, eating, playing games, and learning about our Savior.
In Athens, we tried to host an invite! Even though Bluffton had a major snowstorm and canceled on us, we still had an awesome group of people make the effort to come encourage us here from IL, KS, and MS.

For our work project, we took all of these:

and all of these:

and worked to put them in these:
which took a lot of this:

(people working)
to send the clothes/shoes to here:

HAITI

Then, we ate:
(very healthy)
and played lots of random/ridiculous games...like the hand game:

and the "eep" "bong" game (not allowed to show your teeth):

and the MOST RIDICULOUS rock/paper/scissors competition EVER:

(2 opposing teams try to advance their way across the chairs by winning/losing)
...and who could forget all the awesome people I met/talked with/ate with/sang with/laughed with/took hideous pictures with:

(this is an imitation of the 1800s "look")

...needless to say, by the time Sunday night rolls around, you are exhausted but very happy/encouraged/exhorted/full :)
