Sara ran a mini marathon: 13.1 miles on Saturday. She did awesome! It was in Nashville, and there were 31,000 runners!

It was also Bamber's birthday! She turned 14. We ate at P.F. Changs. It was TASTY!!!!!

I gave her a journal with cheesy coupons that I made up for her to use....apparently I thought it was funnier than she did:)

oh....and the roses by my apt are blooming. I couldn't help but admire:

Ryan and Jessica came to visit this past weekend. They brought Kayla (Jessica's younger sister) and Elly too! It was a fun weekend including: a walk in the park, ice cream, campfire cook-out, Zion's Harp singing, pizza, BBQ, etc,etc.

Ran a 5k and lived to tell about it.....

I trained.

I was motivated.

I was dedicated.

I was ready.

.....and yet I almost barfed after running the first mile:)

Other than that, it was a great race! A 5k is 3.2 miles, and I ran it in 31 something minutes. My sister, however, rocks my world and ran it in 24 something and placed 1st in her age group, winning a bunch of free Chik-fil-A (which I'm hoping can only be used in Alabama, so that the coupons will conveniently be donated to me:) My sister, Jen, and her husband, Rob, brought their 3 girls down for the race/weekend. It has been AWESOME!
